Over the past couple of months, I've been working on creating positive habits with Shumaisa. After literally years of being sure I was a night owl who could never get to bed before ridiculous-o'clock, I've now maintained a habit of getting to bed gradually earlier for over 6 weeks, so that I'm now regularly getting to bed before 11pm. This has had a knock on effect on my ability to get up earlier, too, and I'm more alert and not tired all the time as I used to be! I am not exaggerating when I say I have been working on this particular habit for *years*, and I know achieving it was very much thanks to Shumaisa providing gentle pointers, discussions with her on how to work on and maintain habits, and her being someone I could check in with to provide an element of accountability. I feel so happy that Shumaisa has helped me succeed with something that has been a struggle for so long, and that is having such a positive effect in many areas of my life. Shumaisa is really friendly and understanding and it was easy to talk to her about what I wanted to work on with my health. She gave me a really helpful plan concentrating on a few key changes initially and then building on these.
